Palatine Library hosts new photography exhibit

Experience a traveling photography exhibition at Palatine Library District Monday, March 2, through Wednesday, April 15.

"When Home Won't Let You Stay" is an exhibit about refugees in America by documentary artist James A. Bowey. Contemporary color portraits, accompanied by first-person poetic stories, show the resilience of refugees in this country.

Visit the second floor of the Main Library to view these thought-provoking images.

On Wednesday, March 4, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., James A. Bowey presents photographs, stories and reflections from the exhibit, and leads a community conversation about our empathetic imagination for refugees.

This exhibit and program are funded by Friends of Palatine Library and located at the Main Library, 700 N. North Court, Palatine. Sign up at palatinelibrary.org or call (847) 358-5881, ext. 167.
