Buffalo Grove's Elite Study Club competes in Seattle Study Club Symposium

Six members of the Elite Study club of Buffalo Grove attended a symposium of the Seattle Study Club. Over 600 people attended the meeting at the Arizona Biltmore Hotel from February 5th thru the 8th.

The Seattle Study Club is "an international network of dentists and dental specialists interested in furthering their knowledge to provide excellent care to each and every patient in their practice." There are over 250 clubs around the world.

The theme for this year's meeting was World Treatment Planning Championship. The Elite Study Club was one of the eighteen clubs chosen to compete in the treatment planning contest. Members of the team included Dr. Scott Frank of Buffalo Grove, Dr. Denis Bartz of Oak Lawn, Dr. Neil Warshawsky of Lincolnshire, Chicago, and Orland Park and Dr. Thomas Kwiatt of Vernon Hills and Barbara Kwiatt played the role of "their patient" for the presentation. Also in attendance were Dr. Michael Nolan of Glenview, Dr. Foad Rasekh of Riverwoods, Michelle Warshawsky and Lela Grubisich, study club coordinator.

Since the club was representing the Chicago area they appeared as the Blues Brothers for some of their activities.
