Costumed Character Hunt April 5th in Des Plaines

Like a treasure hunt but so much better!

Breakfast with Baby presents a costumed character hunt plus Bible crafts on Sunday, April 5, 2-4 p.m. at The Salvation Army, 609 W. Dempster, Des Plaines.

Six areas on the building will be staged to look like Roman barracks after the crucifixion, the Garden Tomb, and the Pilate's judgment seat. Children can search for and interact with six costumed characters from the Bible story of Easter: Jesus, Judas Iscariot, Pontius Pilate, Mary Magdalene, an Angel, and a Roman soldier.

At several locations they will receive secret items to use in making Easter Bible crafts: an empty tomb, painted stones, and beaded crosses.

A Bible-Times reporter from Station ChiRho will conduct interviews with each Easter character. Songs will be sung! Refreshments enjoyed!

Breakfast with Baby gives diapers to babies in need and provides spiritual support to their parents.
