No party like a Mardi Gras party - Friends of Clearbrook celebrates 56th annual event

On Feb. 22, Clearbrook hosted their annual Friends of Clearbrook Wine and Craft Beer Tasting at the Westin Itasca.

With a Mardi Gras theme, more than 300 attendees enjoyed samples from D'Vine Wine and Gifts, Church Street Brewing, Ramona Beverage, and others, under twinkling lights in the Westin's soaring lobby.

The event then moved to the ballroom for dinner, speeches, a raffle, and reverse auction.

The evening's highlight was the after-party in the hotel's heated tent.

Zydeco Voodoo Band put on a lively show that had guests off of their feet.

Proceeds from this event benefit Clearbrook's CHILD Therapy and Community Employment Services programs. CHILD Therapy services is a family-focused, interdisciplinary program that serves and supports families with young children ages birth to five with developmental delays. Community Employment Services helps individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities obtain employment in the community, working with them to strengthen employment-related skills and cultivating job placements. Guests heard stories from both individuals who have obtained employment through Clearbrook and a mom whose son utilizes services from the CHILD Therapy program.

Clearbrook would like to thank the event's sponsors, Andigo Credit Union, BMO Harris Bank, BakerTilly, Canon, Korol Cleaning Service Inc., Ceres Food Group, Pace, Sysmex, and Weber, as well as the Friends of Clearbrook Committee. Big thank you to D'Vine Wine and Gifts for coordinating the vendors for the tasting.
