Prospect Heights Park District fair offers opportunity to find jobs

A fair held at Old Orchard Country Club offers employment opportunities for individuals of all ages. There are about 150 available positions for summer and even longer with banquets throughout the year. Department heads and supervisors will be onsite to meet with individuals and discuss jobs, schedules, qualifications, duties, pay rates, etc.

These are great jobs for teens, adults, college students and retirees. Summer camp and lifeguards are perfect opportunities for young people looking for experience. There are part-time positions such as servers, bussers and bartenders for banquets plus after school care and van driving opportunities.

There are seasonal positions as well such as beverage cart attendants, personal trainers and park maintenance workers in addition to instructors for dance, group exercise and performing arts.

The job fair is scheduled on both Thursday March 19 from 4:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. and Saturday March 21 from 9:00 a.m. till noon at Old Orchard Country Club, 700 West Rand Road in Mount Prospect. Laptops will be available to apply for jobs on the spot. Bring a smile, make eye contact and offer a firm handshake.
