The Plato Center Unit for Home and Community Education will meet at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, at the Plato Center Town Hall, 10N924 Rippberger Road. The hostesses are Renee Fabsits and Joan Ziethen. They will have a belated Valentine's Day party. Come early for refreshments.

The business meeting will open at 1 p.m. They had election of officers at the last meeting. All officers and directors are accepted another year. Renee Fabsits and Jeri Bruening are taking the office of second vice president/membership. Thanks to Renee, Jeri and all the officers and directors.

They will still be taking reservations for the "International Luncheon" on Thursday, March 19, at the Advent Christian Church in Aurora. Cost is $15. The country of study is Uruguay. If you have silent auction items, bring them to the unit meeting on Friday, Feb. 21.

Remember your water bottle for the Friendship Project Fund. Fifty percent of funds collected will go to Illinois food banks. Check your newsletter for more information.

Ann Rempfer and her husband, David, made a lighthouse for Kane County. Voting for the best lighthouse will be by how much "green" can be collected. Help stuff the ballot box by bringing green to the meeting.

The lesson for learning is "Inflammation and Living with Arthritis."

All are welcome at the meetings. For information, call Joan at (847) 931-8120 or just stop by.
