Spring Valley Winter Fest in Schaumburg this weekend
Celebrate the winter season with indoor and outdoor activities, Alaskan huskies and more this weekend at Spring Valley Winter Fest in Schaumburg.
The fest, sponsored by the Spring Valley Nature Club, will run from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, and Sunday, Feb. 16, at the Nature Center, 1111 E. Schaumburg Road. Activities include horse-drawn wagon rides, winter-themed crafts and games, marshmallow roasting over a bonfire, and dog sledding demonstrations.
Snowshoe walks through the prairie also will be available, weather permitting.
Warm winter beverages and food will be available for purchase. Activities will take place both inside and outside the Nature Center.
