Palatine Twp. Senior Center gala celebrates 20 years

Guests will be welcomed into the Cotillion Banquets ballroom for the 20th anniversary celebration of the annual Caring Hearts Gala from 6-11 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15.

The Palatine Township Senior Center has been serving seniors in the area for more than 45 years, and has been hosting the gala for 20 years. The evening will be a celebration of these accomplishments.

Guests will bring their smartphone or tablet to bid on the silent and live auction items or to donate to the Palatine Township Senior Citizens Council. More than 50 silent auction items will be available, including sporting events, golf, artwork, family fun and date nights, to name a few. Three live auction items will be included as well.

The evening also will include a "Selfie Station," music played by DJL Entertainment and a Wine Pull, where, for $20, guests will pick a numbered cork win the corresponding numbered bottle of wine.

Palatine Mayor Jim Schwantz is the honorary chairman and retired executive director Carol Reagan is guest of honor.

This black tie optional event includes open bar, hand-passed hors d'oeuvres, a four-course dinner, music and dancing.

Tickets to attend can be purchased at the Palatine Township Senior Center, 505 S. Quentin Road, Palatine. For information, contact Kate Johnson at (847) 991-1112 or kjohnson@ptscc.org.
