Warm up with Mount Prospect Hot Cocoa Stroll

The Mount Prospect Downtown Merchants Association is hosting the Hot Cocoa Stroll from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15.

"We are excited to introduce this new event to Mount Prospect," said event chairwoman Trisha Chokshi of Chokshi Filippone Law.

"We thought this would be a great break from the winter doldrums, and give everyone something fun to look forward to, while supporting local businesses. Plus, the event is family-friendly, so bring the whole gang. There will be food and beverage specials for kids and adults at each location, plus craft stops for kids along the way."

Participants will stroll through downtown Mount Prospect enjoying wintry drinks and treats. Locations include Canta Napoli, Emerson's Ale House, Mrs. P & Me, Sam's Place and Station 34. The Collective and Gathered Boutique and Workshop will be offering winter crafts for kids.

Registration for the event for adults 21 and older is $20 per person; free for those younger than 21, and includes a swag bag filled with goodies from Mount Prospect Downtown Merchants Association members, a scarf and raffle tickets. Registration for the event is available at www.downtownmountprospect.com.

Check-in will begin at 2:30 p.m. at Canta Napoli, 90 E. Busse Ave., Mount Prospect. Parking for the event is available in the Emerson Street Parking Deck, 50 S. Emerson St., and plenty of additional parking is located throughout downtown Mount Prospect. Downtown Mount Prospect is also conveniently located along the Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line. For fares and schedules, visit metrarail.com.

Participants must visit each location and have their tickets punched in order to complete the "stroll" and to be eligible for the raffle.
