Elected Officials to Discuss Issues Essential to Older Adults At Annual Legislative Breakfasts in Suburban Cook County

Members of the public are invited to join suburban Cook County federal, state, county and local officials to discuss issues concerning older adults at a series of breakfasts in January, February and March. AgeOptions and area senior service agencies convene the annual breakfasts to hear how the agencies and elected officials can best support each other.

Participants will discuss older adult services and issues facing older adults. Constituents and representatives of local agencies serving older adults will share information and stories related to their agencies and the people they serve. The discussions will contribute to a proactive policy agenda relating to critical areas for older adults, such as caregiver supports, social isolation, health care and access to benefits and services including SNAP, Medicaid and tax freezes.
