28 Mile Vodka Company Kicks-off Country Sunday Series
28 Mile Vodka Company, the North Shore's premier Distillery and Cocktail Lounge, proudly presents "Country Sundays," a weekly dose of country music to help warm those winter doldrums away. Taking place every Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., "Country Sundays" will welcome the best country bands from across the Midwest to the four-season Courtyard at 28 Mile Vodka Company in Highwood (454 Sheridan Road). In addition to the country tunes, guests will enjoy a $20 bottomless Bloody Mary bar, "Highwoodian" pours over rocks of the venue's namesake 28 Mile Vodka, and more. Sunday Fun-days kick-off in January with a not-to-be-missed line-up, including:
Two Beer Tommy on January 12, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.: Hailedas "Northern Illinois' Greatest Fun Time Band," Two Beer Tommy music has its roots in modern country, blues, old-time classic rock, and traditional American rock music. Two Beer Tommy dares their audiences not to sing, dance & stomp their feet as they take the stage!
Gone Country on January 19 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.: At the core, Gone Country is a group of rock and roll musicians who have a deep appreciation for country music. Since 2013, Gone Country has been performing regionally to the acclaim of critics and audience members alike. The band plays old standards and the latest hits in country including Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Garth Brooks, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, and many others. Gone Country brings a fun, high energy performance to each show, leaving no excuses for anyone to be left in their seat. Come see your favorite songs performed the way you like 'em!
School of Rock Evanston and Highwood's Garage Rock Showcase on January 26 from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.: Do not miss this all-day jam fest featuring home-grown rockers with world-class talent. The performance kicks off at 11:00 a.m. with an incredible line-up of bands taking the stage. Entry for this special edition of "Country Sundays" costs $10/person.
