GLMV Chamber Presents 1st Annual 'Stephanie Smith-Howard Volunteer Award'

The Green Oaks, Libertyille, Mundelein, Vernon Hills (GLMV) Chamber of Commerce recently recognized a special Mrs. Claus (Stephanie Smith-Howard)for her long-standing service and generosity to the GLMV and other community groups.

GLMV Chair Karen Kay Lavris, Glacier Ice Arena; Mrs. Claus, Stephanie Smith Howard, Design Insurance Brokers; Special Recognition Sponsor Jeanne Silver, Carstar-Mundelein; and GLMV President Scott Adams presented the 1st Annual "Stephanie Smith Howard Volunteer of the Year Award" and other gifts to Stephanie, a chamber member since 1986, an insurance broker and health care advocate.

Stephanie brings joy to all and brightens our day as Mrs. Claus. She knows the best gifts come from the heart, spreads love and hugs, and is an inspiration to all. Despite the tremendous health battle she now faces, she is a true free spirit warrior who touches our souls with hope and strength.

"We are so proud to present this well-deserved recognition to Stephanie," said Jeanne Silver, Carstar, who sponsored the award.

You rock, Stephanie, we need you and you've got this!

The award was presented at the GLMV Holiday Party, December 17 at the Doubletree Hotel - Mundelein.
