Mundelein Park District hosts January Job Fair for Summer Positions

The saying goes, "the early bird gets the worm" and the same holds true for summer jobs!

Mundelein Park & Recreation District is hosting a free Summer Job Fair on Jan. 3, at the Community Center (1401 N. Midlothian Road) from 1-3 p.m., for open part-time and seasonal positions throughout the district. Positions to be filled include lifeguards, swim instructors, cashiers, concessions, maintenance, camp counselors, laborers and more.

"We are looking to hire nearly 200 employees for the indoor pool, Barefoot Bay Family Aquatic Center, Diamond Lake Beach, Indoor Pool, Day Camp, Dance, Parks Department, Athletic Program and Steeple Chase Golf Club," said Sarah Bannon, Mundelein Park District Human Resource manager. "There are great opportunities for high school, college students, retirees and any adults looking for supplemental income."

The job fair will give potential applicants the opportunity to speak with hiring managers, learn about open positions and start the application process. Applicants must be 16 and older, with some positions requiring a minimum age of 18. Pizza will be provided and attendees submitting an application at the fair will receive a free day pass to NovaCare Fitness. Interviews will be conducted in March-April 2019.

Season employee benefits include free season pass to Barefoot Bay, free fitness membership and an employee referral program.
