Former stroke patient praises of Radford Green rehabilitation staff

"This was the best possible gift our team could receive during the holiday season," said Keegan Sawyer, administrator of Radford Green.

Sawyer recently received a letter from Frank Massolini of Libertyville, a former guest of the health center at Sedgebrook senior living community in Lincolnshire.

Massolini, 69, shared rave reviews of the staff whom he credits for his dramatic recovery after a "life-altering stroke" in 2017.

Massolini recalled that after hospitalization for his brain hemorrhage, he was taken to a renowned Chicago-area rehabilitation center.

"My 10 days there were horrible and, as a result, I transferred to Radford Green for the remainder of my three months of therapy. At Radford Green, I received great care from a loving and caring staff and was given great professional encouragement, direction and support. The milieu at Radford Green was positive, inspiring, encouraging and professional.

"Two years later, I often think of the exceptional care I was provided at Radford Green, and I consider myself a very lucky man to have transferred there," Massolini said. "I'm honored and grateful to the staff and management for the superior treatment and care I received."

Describing the team as "exceptional," "magnificent" and "marvelous," Massolini wrote "God bless" the amazing therapists and nursing staff who provided "exemplary care." Two years later, Massolini's favorite care providers are still working at Radford Green.

"We really do have a remarkable team that works tirelessly to achieve the very best outcomes for all our residents and rehab guests," Sawyer said.

"We consistently receive professional honors, including 10 consecutive years of the prestigious Five-Star Rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. We are proud of these accolades, but it's even more special and meaningful to hear about how our guests are living their best possible lives due to our hard work and dedication."

"Your therapy and professional care is second to none, and I'll be forever grateful," Massolini concluded.
