Elgin fire stations collecting coats, hats, mittens for Community Crisis Center

The Community Crisis Center in Elgin is collecting new and lightly used winter coats, gloves, mittens, hats, boots, snow pants and scarves for men, women, and children.

Used items need to be clean and not have missing buttons or broken zippers.

This year, they are in particular need of adult coats, especially larger sizes.

Donations will be accepted through Wednesday, Dec. 25 at all seven of Elgin's fire stations.
