Conscious Cup Coffee Roasters hosts open house at new Cary location

On Thursday, Nov. 21, Conscious Cup Coffee Roasters and the Cary-Grove Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a Ribbon Cutting and Open House event at the newest location at 77 W. Main St. in Cary.

Conscious Cup Coffee Roasters is a small batch craft coffee roaster from Crystal Lake. The Cary location is their third café and retail location. In the heart of downtown Cary, the new café was revamped by the interior design firm of Jax and Jude Designs (www.jaxjudedesigns.com).

The renovation project was done with the community in mind and in keeping with the spirit of the 100-year-old building it occupies.

Owner Michael Shipley wants the space to be a place community can come together.

"We view our cafes and our relationships with our neighboring businesses, non-profits, schools, churches, and other institutions as central to our business model," says Shipley, "Coffee happens to be the perfect medium to bring the many different parts of our community together."

Conscious Cup's retail cafes are only one side of the business. They also specialize in wholesale, fundraising, and catering. They buy premium, socially and environmentally sustainable coffees from the best growers around the world. They roast these coffees every week to ensure the freshest roast date and prepare them for their customers in their cafes and in partnership with their many wholesale partners.

You can visit Conscious Cup Coffee Roasters at the new Cary location at 77 W. Main St. in Cary, at their Crystal Lake location at 5005 Northwest Hwy., and at Cook Street Coffee at 100 E. Station St. in Barrington. To learn more about Conscious Cup Coffee Roasters, visit their website at www.consciouscup.com. They can also be found on Facebook, www.facebook.com/ConsciousCup.
