District 214 Community Education Winter Registration Is Now Open!

Registration is now open for District 214 Community Education classes that start in January, the perfect time to celebrate a new year and explore a new you!

This winter session District 214 Community Education is offering a large variety of classes in 12 categories; Fitness & Athletics, Culinary, Finance, Law & Real Estate, Health &Wellness, Leisure Interests, Travel, Arts, Languages, Youth, Family & Parent, Travel, and Technology, Professional Development and Cultural & Performing Arts.

Stay moving with our amazing athletic classes that include Badminton, Pickleball, Shotokan Karate, 15-Minute Ab Blast, Belly Dancing for Fitness and Fun, Yoga, Zumba Fitness, Zumba Gold and much more!

Aim to reach your optimal health with our Health and Wellness classes that include Aromatic Essential Oils, Building Better Wellness, Caring for Seniors: Understanding Medicare, Intuitive Painting, Mastering Stress, Happy Healthy Gut, Tai Chi, Meditation Drumming, and much more!

We offer a wide variety of culinary classes and keep expanding to keep things interesting! Some of our new culinary classes we are offering this winter session are Asian Rice Bowls, BBQ and Vino and College Dorm Cooking, Stir Fry Dinners, Souffle' 101, Sushi night and more!

Finally, an upcoming event you won't want to miss is "The Really Most Sincerely Wonderful Wizard of Oz." It is a unique adaptation based on the original book written by Frank Baum and it features original music from local composer, Jason Costabile, who is a Prospect High School graduate.

"The Really Most Sincerely Wonderful Wizard of Oz" runs Friday, Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7 at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 8 at 2:30 p.m. Call (847) 718-7702 for tickets.
