Schaumburg Parks hold holiday house decorating contest

Schaumburg Park District residents may enter the upcoming Holiday House Decorating Contest by submitting an entry form by 9 p.m., Dec. 13, at the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road.

Houses will be awarded prizes based on originality, arrangement, theme and overall presentation. Only the first 10 houses entered for the contest will be judged on the evenings of Dec. 17 and 18.

Houses may be decorated any time before Dec. 17 and must be within Schaumburg Park District boundaries. Winning entrants will be posted on Schaumburg Park District's social media.

Judging will take place during the Holiday House Decorating Tour from 6 to 8:30 p.m., Dec. 17 and 18. Contest entrants are not eligible to judge. For more information, call (847) 490-7020 or visit parkfun.com.
