Get festive with your furry best friend at Schaumburg Park District's Jingle Paws.

Jingle Paws is set for noon-2 p.m., Dec. 7 at Meineke Recreation Center, 220 E. Weathersfield Way.

The event, designed specifically for dogs and their owners, includes a treat hunt, agility course, photo with Santa and a costume contest. Awards will be given to the winners of the Best Dog/Owner Look-Alike Costume, Best Costume and Best Overall Holiday-Themed Costume.

"There's nothing cuter than seeing a dog sitting on Santa's lap while dressed up in their holiday apparel," said Mike Wold, Meineke Recreation Center manager.

The first 50 dogs registered will receive a holiday treat.

All dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations. Vaccination records must be attached to the registration form or brought to Meineke Recreation Center.

Event is for all ages. Cost is $2 per person and $5 per dog for residents and $3 per person and $7 per dog for non-residents.
