Grove Players kick off 83rd season with David Mamet's 'November'

Grove Players kicks off its 83rd season with "November," a side-splitting political satire from acclaimed playwright David Mamet. The production is directed by Jason Linder.

The timing of this production couldn't be more perfect. The play eerily reflects the current political climate to a "T" as it follows the efforts of President Charles Smith as he seeks reelection.

Linder brings an immensely talented cast to the stage anchored by Guy Sullivan as President Charles Smith.

Gary Murphy (Archer Brown), Hillary Scott (Clarice Bernstein), Galen Malick (Representative of the National Association of Turkey and Turkey Products), and Anthony Urso (Dwight Grackle) join Sullivan as they bring Mamet's political and presidential shenanigans to life.

"November," which contains language and themes that are not appropriate for all audiences, opens Nov. 15 on the third floor of the Lincoln Center, 935 Maple Ave. in Downers Grove.

The production continues Nov. 16-17, 22-24 with Friday and Saturday performances at 8 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.

General admission tickets are $20 or $18 for seniors and students.
