Buffalo Creek Brewing to Host 'Pints for a Purpose' - A St. Nicholas Day Fundraiser
Buffalo Creek Brewing in historic downtown Long Grove is getting into the holiday spirit this December by hosting its first major charity fundraiser on St. Nicholas Day. Brewmaster Mike Marr will open his Bavarian-themed taproom doors on December 6th to all those interested in supporting foster care and adoption in Illinois. In conjunction with the Let It Be Us Foundation (Barrington) and in partnership with the Lions Club of Long Grove, the brewery proudly presents "Pints for a Purpose" - A St. Nicholas Day Celebration. Buffalo Creek Brewing will be abuzz all day and night with Christmas caroling lead by a local chamber choir, complimentary appetizers, freshly drawn pints of craft beer, raffles, a live band, and speakers from all organizations involved.
"Buffalo Creek Brewing, the Lions Club and Let It Be Us are excited to bring more awareness towards adoption and the foster care system," said Mike. "St. Nicholas Day is all about giving, and so our goal with this event is to give information and hope to the Illinois foster care system - and to have a good time while doing so!"
Pints for a Purpose event is open to the public and free of charge with many ways to donate to Let It Be Us. Apart from providing any monetary donations at the door, guests will have the ability to bid on a wide variety of raffle prizes. The evening will begin at 4:00 PM with the Willows Academy's Chamber Choir singing traditional, German-themed and classical Christmas carols while guest snack on the free appetizers and drink Mike's wide selection of craft beers - including his new Barrel Aged Hallows Series. As the evening continues, speakers will address the party to explain more about the work Let It Be Us does daily for the foster care system. Guests will also have an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets to bid on big prizes that have been donated to the cause. At 7:00 PM, Social Que will begin playing a Rock n' Roll Christmas-themed set to help keep the holiday spirit moving until 10:00 PM!
