Zion District 6 schools celebrate Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week is the oldest and largest drug prevention campaign in the country.

Zion District 6 schools recently celebrated Red Ribbon Week by participating in Spirit Days and activities to unite and take a visible stance against substance abuse.

These activities included decorating red ribbons, cleaning the school grounds, wearing red and even dressing up as favorite book characters to "close the book" on drugs.

The Youth Leadership Teams also planted red tulips in honor of Red Ribbon Week, made posters, tied ribbons around trees and created their own messages with peers to promote a healthy lifestyle.
