Warm up with a 5K run!

Get your heartbeat up and warm up with a chili finale at Schaumburg Park District's Chilly Chili 5K Run/Walk, sponsored by AMITA Health.

The race begins at 10 a.m., Dec. 7 at the scenic Schaumburg Golf Club, 401 N. Roselle Road. The race is U.S.A. Track & Field certified.

The race route takes place on the Schaumburg Golf Course golf cart paths. The minimum age for participants is 10 years old. Participants older than 21 years of age will receive a free beer with their chili lunch. All participants will receive a long-sleeve T-shirt.

"This race is a great way to stay on track with your fitness goals amid the holiday season," said Emily Silva, fitness supervisor. "It is a safe, fun course that's a hit every year with runners."

Awards will be given to three winners in each age division after the race. Race results will be published on parkfun.com the morning after the race. Additional beer and other beverages will be available for purchase in the ballroom.

The pre-registration pricing of $35 is available through Nov. 27 at active.com. Race-day registration cost is $40. Check-in, packet pick-up and race-day registration will be available 8-9:30 a.m. on race day at Schaumburg Golf Club.

Spectators may purchase a meal ticket for $9. Additional beverage tickets are $4.
