Lavelle Law's Upcoming Breakfast Briefs Seminar Focuses on Drafting Enforceable Contracts

Each month, Schaumburg-based Lavelle Law hosts a free seminar as a part of their Breakfast Briefs series, which covers a variety of legal topics that impact businesses and individuals. The upcoming November edition of Breakfast Briefs, entitled Contracts Gone Bad & Other Business Disputes will help business owners understand how to draft contracts that can be upheld if business disputes lead to litigation and offer a legal "check-up" to make sure their businesses are well-protected against claims. The seminar will be hosted on November 13 by Lavelle Law attorneys Matthew Sheahin, Jennifer Tee and Lance Ziebell

During the seminar, the Lavelle Law litigation team will show attendees how key provisions in contracts-whether with other business owners, employees, customers, clients, or vendors-can help business owners be well-positioned should a dispute lead to litigation.

"Litigation, or the threat of litigation, can consume significant resources for a business," said Lavelle Law Managing Partner Ted McGinn. "In this seminar, we'll discuss how well-written contracts protect owners on two fronts-establishing a position of strength in court when others violate the terms and also by presenting a solid position that can help avoid claims against the company from others. We have an outstanding and successful team of litigators at Lavelle Law and we look forward to sharing some ideas and concepts at the seminar."

The upcoming Contracts Gone Bad & Other Business Disputes seminar will begin with a networking opportunity at 7:45 a.m. on November 13, followed by the formal presentation at 8:00. The seminar takes place at the Lavelle Law's Schaumburg office, located at 1933 North Meacham Road, Suite 127. Coffee and breakfast will be included at the free event. Registration is required as seating is limited.
