St. Charles Kiwanis dinner recognizes service

The St. Charles Kiwanis Club held its annual Recognition Dinner Sept. 24 at Francesca's On the River.

The dinner affords members a chance to gather outside of club meetings and service projects, award members who have distinguished themselves in service, and introduce the new officers of the club for the coming year, which began Oct. 1.

Club officers for 2019-2020 are Robert Brautigam, president; Carl Ziegler, president-elect; Susan Liechti, vice president; and Lori Linkimer, secretary. New board members are Lang Nguyen, Dr. Warren Beeh, and Joel Mulder.

Special recognition was given to four members. Liechti was awarded Kiwanian of the Year, Linkimer received the Hixson Award, and Connie Kurr received the Amador Award.

Terry Andrew was recognized for his many years as club treasurer.

The St. Charles Kiwanis Club, whose mission is to serve area children and families in need, meets at noon every Tuesday at the Baker Memorial United Methodist Church, 307 Cedar Ave. in St. Charles.

For membership information, call Diane DeWitte at (630) 272-1875 or visit kiwanisofstcharles.org.
