Girl Scouts Are On A Roll Celebrating GSUSA Founder with Service

Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette, and Senior Girl Scouts from Service Unit 404 of the Greater Chicago Northwest Indiana Council came together on Sunday, October 27 at Bowlero Mount Prospect to celebrate the birthday of GSUSA's founder, Juliette Gordon Low. Many Girl Scout groups around the country recognize Low's birthday (October 31), known as Founder's Day in the Girl Scout calendar. The annual event is a tradition for Girl Scouts in the local area, and every year the troops collect food and paper product donations which benefit the Des Plaines and Mount Prospect Food Pantries. The girls enjoyed bowling, sang together, played bowling bingo, and ate pizza and cake to celebrate the day. Hundreds of food and paper products were collected for the food pantries, in bags the girls decorated with inspirational messages.
