Highland Park Community Foundation Benefits from Chez Benoit's Inaugural Cuisine for a Cause

Chez Benoit's Cuisine for a Cause Gives Back to Highland Park

Highland Park, IL - October 24, 2019: The Highland Park Community Foundation (HPCF) will partner with Chez Benoit for their inaugural Cuisine for a Cause event on Thursday November 7th.

Cuisine for a Cause is being launched by Chef Benoit Fliou and his partner and wife Christi Fliou, on November 7 at Chez Benoit, their flagship French restaurant on the North Shore. In recognition of the vital work it does within the community, the inspired event will provide the Highland Park Community Foundation with 20% of all proceeds from the day.

"After being open nearly a year, I felt it was time for us to get involved in helping the community," said Christi Fliou, partner, Chez Benoit. I can't think of a better way to kick off Cuisine for a Cause than by supporting the Highland Park Community Foundation. They do amazing work!"

"We are beyond thrilled with the generosity of Chef Benoit and Christi for selecting the Highland Park Community Foundation as the recipient of their inaugural Cuisine for a Cause. Our organization and, subsequently, other community organizations will benefit from this delicious philanthropic initiative," said Nancy Mills, Chairman, Highland Park Community Foundation.

"Unless you've been in the restaurant business you can't quite understand just how stressful, demanding and time consuming it can be. My to-do list is never ending", added Christi."To be very honest with you, that is exactly why I had the idea to do this fun and meaningful event. I've always taken great pleasure in helping others. I really needed to do some 'feel good' work."

Chef Benoit is a Highwood resident and native Parisian. He and his wife and business partner Christi opened Chez Benoit in December 2018. The pair hopes that their classic French bistro is reminiscent of food served in Paris.

The Chez Benoit "Cuisine for a Cause" event benefiting Highland Park Community Foundation will take place on Thursday, November 7th at 455 Central Avenue Highland Park. Guests are requested to reserve a table in advance by calling Chez Benoit at (847) 266-7878 or online at chezbenoitbistro.com.
