Vote for St. Charles in the K-9 grant competition

The St. Charles Police Department is participating in a grant competition to restart its K-9 Unit.

In June 2017, St. Charles Police lost their beloved K-9 Aries and have not had a K-9 since then.

This grant opportunity, sponsored by Aftermath, would really help restart the St. Charles Police K-9 unit.

Anyone can vote for St. Charles, Illinois (be sure to indicate Illinois) at http://bit.ly/Vote4STC or on Instagram @AftermathK9Grant.

You also can share this with friends or family to vote for St. Charles too! Even if they don't live here. You can vote online once a day through Sunday, Nov. 3.

The winners will be announced Wednesday, Nov. 6. The first place award is $5,000. Second- to fifth-place winners may receive $4,000 to $1,500 or $500 for honorable mention.

For 10 years, the Aftermath K-9 Grant has given back to police departments and first responder units across the country by awarding more than $100,000 in grants. These grants have allowed departments to purchase their very first K-9, to fund safety and training equipment, and to maintain existing programs.
