St. John's UCC-Harmony welcomes new pastor

St. John's United Church of Christ, Harmony held a special worship service to install the Rev. David Bateman as the called pastor and teacher on Sunday, Sept. 29.

The Rev. Kathy Lawes, the Associate Conference Minster serving Prairie and Western Association of the Illinois Conference, delivered the message for the service. The Rev. Justo Gonzalez II the Interim Conference Minister of the Illinois Conference also participated in the service.

The congregation welcomed Pastor Dave and his wife, Carol, into the faith community.

Come worship with St. John's on Sundays at 9 a.m. Children go to Sunday school classes after the children's message at the beginning of the service.

Fellowship hour follows the morning service.

St. John's UCC is located at 11821 E. Grant Hwy. (Route 20) in Hampshire, just north of the I-90 Hampshire/Marengo exit.
