Immanuel Lutheran-Batavia to host High School Info Night Oct. 28

On Monday, Oct. 28, Immanuel Lutheran School in Batavia is sponsoring a High School Info Night for middle school students and their parents from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

This event is designed to help families in the Fox Valley and surrounding communities learn more about their options when it comes time for high school.

Much like a college fair, area high schools will share information, provide literature, and answer questions for interested students - all in one place. It is ideal for families currently enrolled in private and public middle schools, and is open to all. From admissions to financial assistance to the school culture, representatives will be on-hand to provide guidance so students can prepare for and thrive in high school.

Representatives from six local private high schools are confirmed: Aurora Central Catholic High School, Aurora Christian High School, Marmion Academy, Rosary High School, St. Francis High School, and Wheaton Academy.

Representatives from Batavia High School, Geneva High School, and West Aurora High School are unable to attend, but parents of current students at these schools will be available at Info Night to help walk families through the process of getting connected with those schools.

For those looking for entrance essay writing tips, there be a display focused on crafting attention-getting essays and other ways to get noticed by the preferred high school.

Introducing students to the high school representatives who may play an important role in admissions can help them differentiate themselves and make genuine connections.

Families should enter Immanuel through Door 3 on the north side of the building.

Immanuel Lutheran Church and School is located at 950 Hart Road in Batavia, one block south of Hart Road and Pine Street on Batavia's southeast side. Contact Immanuel Lutheran School at (630) 406-0157 or school@immanuelbatavia.org with questions.
