Us Foods employees help fight hunger

It's very possible that someone you know may be struggling to get enough to eat.

In fact, the United States Department of Agriculture reported that, in 2017, an estimated 15 million households were food insecure, meaning at times there was not enough food for the entire household.

As the second largest food service distributor in the country, fighting hunger is an issue that US Foods puts front and center. In support of Hunger Action Month, US Foods rallied its associates across the country to raise awareness and fight hunger in their communities through group volunteer outings, food drives and fundraisers.

Through these activities, the Rosemont-based company volunteered a total of 873 employee hours to help fight hunger and packaged and sorted 139,000 pounds of food at food banks across the country.
