DuPage Senior Citizens Council needs volunteers for Meals on Wheels and other programs

The DuPage Senior Citizens Council needs volunteers to deliver meals to frail and homebound seniors in Aurora, Bloomingdale, Wheaton, Glendale Heights, and Westmont.

Meals on Wheels are delivered five days a week, Monday through Friday, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Deliveries typically take an hour.

Requirements to volunteer are a valid driver's license, current car insurance, a background check and to attend a volunteer training that is provided at the central office located in Lombard.

In addition to Meals on Wheels drivers, the DuPage Senior Citizens Council is always in need of volunteers for our other services including visiting a senior through the "Friendly Visit and Assistance" or creating crafts and performing through "Intergenerational Activities."

If interested in delivering meals or any of our volunteer opportunities, visit the website at www.dupageseniorcouncil.org or contact the DuPage Senior Citizens Council at (630) 620-0804 for more information.
