Learn earn how to pay for college at Oct. 5 event at ECC

Learn about financial aid and how to pay for college at "Financial Aid 101," a free even hosted by Elgin Community College, from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 5. The event takes place in the Seigle Auditorium, Building E, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin.

All are invited to attend this informative event.

A presentation on how to pay for college begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 10:45 a.m.

Parents and current and future students can learn about the differences between grants, loans, and scholarships, including detailed information about ECC's Foundation and board of trustees scholarships and how you can search for private scholarships.

In addition to the presentation, you can complete the Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at the event with the support of financial aid representatives (including Spanish speaking representatives).

The lab will be open from 9 a.m. until noon, and it is first-come, first-served.
