High school students, parents explore career and educational options at College of DuPage STEM Spotlight

More than 60 high school students and their families learned about careers and education in the science, technology, engineering and math fields at College of DuPage's STEM Spotlight event.

Attendees met with COD faculty, participated in career inventory assessments and learned about scholarship options.

In addition, attendees received information about student STEM clubs at COD, STEM programs at four-year universities and heard from a panel featuring COD alum Argonne National Laboratory energy systems risk analyst Erna Gevondyan, microbiologist for Now Foods Jake Slinkman, and Alexis Miranda, a chemical engineering student at University of Illinois at Chicago.
