Lombard to name Senior Man, Woman of the Year during senior fair Oct. 2

The Village of Lombard will be hosting its 14th annual Senior Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, at a new location, Lombard Park District's Madison Meadow Athletic Center, 500 E. Wilson Ave.

Popular services and vendors will include flu shots from Walgreens, blood pressure readings from the Lombard Fire Department, chair massages, hearing testing, and more.

Local agencies, community groups and vendors will offer additional services and useful information for seniors.

Attendees can bring gym shoes to enjoy access to the on site walking track, complements of the Lombard Park District.

The village's Senior Man and Senior Woman of the Year will be announced at 10 a.m., and all nominees will be publicly recognized.

The event is hosted by the village's community relations committee which includes chairman Dan Militello, Ahmed Ali, Pamela Bedard, Michael Ledonne, Anthony Pacilli, Gladys Piper, Sharon Vish and Barbara Ware.
