Audition for Improv Playhouse Theater staged radio dramas

Men and women older than 18 are invited to audition for Improv Playhouse live, staged dramatized radio plays.

Adult actors need only prepare their voices for a reading of script segments. No memorization necessary. Some roles require dialects: East European/Russian, Dutch/German and British/Cockney.

Radio dramas are staged performances of classic radio plays from the "golden era" of broadcasting. Scripts from Orson Welles, NBC Radio and Mercury Theater, among others, are interpreted and performed for a live audience throughout the year.

It's "radio you can see," complete with actors, music and sound effects technicians.

To make arrangements for a reading between Oct. 1-15 for general auditions, call (847) 968-4529 or email info@improvplayhouse.com.

Improv Playhouse Theater is at 735 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville. For details, visit improvplayhouse.com.
