'Girls' Night Out' aids Palatine Township Senior Center

Calling all ladies 21 and older. Grab your girlfriends and come from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, to Durty Nellie's, 280 N. Smith St., in Palatine, for a fun evening while supporting the programs and services of the Palatine Township Senior Center.

Presale tickets are $30 each or four or more for $25 each. Tickets at the door are $35. Your ticket entitles you to one beverage, heavy hors d'oeuvres, chocolate treat, selfie station, free pampering stations, DJ, door prize ticket and party favors.

Back by popular demand is a Cork Pull raffle. Pick a lucky cork and you could win a bottle with a fun piece of jewelry included. At the pampering stations get your hair styled by Arete Salon, try a cute nail strip or two by Color Street Nails, and relax with a chair massage by J2 Massage.

Savor some chocolate at the Chocolate Bar sponsored by Long Grove Confectionary, and taste the Signature Drink of the night sponsored by Brandt Financial Concepts, Inc. Take pics at the Selfie Station sponsored by Andigo Credit Union, and enjoy the music sponsored by Marla & Bill Gillen.

Raffle tickets are available for purchase to win prizes, including restaurant gift cards, purses, pampering items and other goodies provided by community donors. Tickets are available online at www.ptscc.org and at the Palatine Township Senior Center, 505 S. Quentin Road, Palatine.

Palatine Township Senior Citizens Council provides programs and services that support older adults and their families by encouraging independence, well-being and connection to the community. Recreation, Education, Health and Wellness, Noon Dining, Home Delivered Meals, Adult Day Services, and Social Services programs are available to persons 50 and older and their families who live in Palatine Township and the surrounding communities in the North and Northwest suburbs.

Services are available in English, Spanish and Russian at five satellite locations. The Social Services staff also makes home visits as needed.
