It's All About The Paws to host adoption event at Scarecrow Fest Oct. 12-13

Join It's All About the Paws for the fifth annual adoption event during Scarecrow Fest.

It will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 12-13, at Baker Memorial Park, Main Street and Fifth Avenue in historic downtown St. Charles.

It's All About the Paws started in 2015 when Erika Seibert had a dream of bringing dog rescues and vendors together in hopes of making a difference in the lives of animals and people alike.

The adoption event focuses adoptions, fundraising, and educating the community on animal advocacy, animal rights, anti-cruelty products, proper nutritional plans for pets, and more.

The following rescues will receive the proceeds for this year: A Little R & R Sanctuary, H.E.L.P. (Homes for Endangered and Lost Pets), Second City Canine Rescue, Tiny n' Tall, and Humane Society of Aurora. More are in the process of joining!

About 2.4 million healthy adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized in the U.S. shelters each year. That is approximately 1 dog or cat every 13 seconds. These animals never get a chance to make it to a new home. Without animal rescues, these animals are looking at rough and possibly short lives. By becoming a sponsor, you can help put an end to their suffering and help these rescues fight for every animal they possibly can.

All proceeds before and during the event will go to the rescues attending It's All About The Paws: Adoption Event. These proceeds significantly help the local rescues in continuing to save and care for animals and their needs including medical attention, supplies (food, crates, toys, cleaning products), training, education seminars, spay and neuter programs, vaccine clinics and more.

Over the past five years, more than 50 dogs have been adopted through the participating rescues at the event. In addition, It's All About the Paws has raised more than $8,000 in donations.
