International Champ Teaches Free Singing Lessons October 1 to November 5

Dan Wessler is a music teacher at heart, but he is also the bass of an international Gold Medalist Quartet in the Barbershop Harmony Society. In addition, he directs the New Tradition Chorus, a men's a cappella chorus that has members from all over the suburbs and Chicago. The chorus rehearses every Tuesday night at 3610 Dundee Rd in Northbrook, and it is there he will be teaching 6 weeks of free singing lessons beginning Oct. 1 until Nov. 5.

The Chorus sponsored the free class last year and, because it was a resounding success, decided to sponsor it again. Without a doubt, it was the instructor who made the course a complete success with all 26 students giving Wessler the highest rating, a 10.

"Join us for six Tuesday evenings," Wessler said, "and you will have the basic skills you need to experience all the fun of solo or group singing. You don't even need to be able to read music."

Singers from any community and of all skill levels and experience are invited. Learning materials are free.
