Camp Democrat 2019 in Vernon Hills Sept. 22nd

Activities are voluntary, but Camp Democrat highly recommends you get involved!

Join us for BBQ, and fun team-building games! Congressman Brad Schneider, State Senator Terry Link, IL Rep Dan Didech and Lake County Treasurer Holly Kim are on board to help you find ways to get involved and make a difference in 2020!

Upon entry, you will be greeted by your Camp Counselors and Campers will receive a colored Camp wrist lanyard and will be assigned to a Team. Participation in Games is voluntary, but Camp Democrat highly recommends getting involved!

IL 10th Head Counselor, Congressman Brad Schneider, will welcome Campers to Camp Democrat and discuss ways you can get involved at the Federal level in 2020! Campers are encouraged to ask questions and share ideas!

Campers can participate in Team Building Games or head to the Archery Range.

There will be an "Arts & Crafts" table where participants can write a postcard to a voter in Vernon Township.

Campers can use this time to get to know other Campers and their counselors.

Feel free to bring your own fishing polls, kayaks, and portable lawn chairs. There is plenty of seating, but mainly picnic tables. Or, you can bring a blanket and lounge right at water's edge. Chillax! Watch the games!

Campers will then head to the Camp Democrat Lodge for Dinner. BBQ hamburgers, hot dogs, S'Mores, and traditional Camp favorites will be served.

State Senator Terry Link, IL Rep. Dan Didech, and Lake County Treasurer Holly Kim will discuss goals for Campers during the 2019-2020 elections and ways to get involved at the State level, Lake County and right here in Vernon Township.
