The Dundee Township Park District invites the community to its "Family Fun Day" from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at the Randall Oaks Recreation Center, 500 N. Randall Road in West Dundee.

The free event features carnival rides, inflatables, climbing tree, games, hayrides, a balloon artist, demo group exercise classes, and more.

Children also can view and touch a variety of animals from the Randall Oaks Zoo.

The Dundee Township Lions Club will be selling food and drinks during the event so families can plan to make a full day of the event.

Families with children nearing preschool age will have an opportunity to visit the preschool inside Randall Oaks Recreation Center and meet the teachers during the event.

"As the summer season comes to a close we want to celebrate our awesome community with a fun-filled day of free activities for families to enjoy. We are offering a free giveaway item to the first 500 kids at the event," stated Katie Keller, marketing manager of the Dundee Township Park District.
