Batavia Public Library to host a Cake Pan Launch Party Aug. 24

Do you enjoy cake decorating? Now you can make an extra-special cake for an event, holiday, or just for fun by borrowing a cake pan from the Batavia Public Library, 10 S. Batavia Ave.

Show off your decorating flair with a rocket ship, pretty pony, giant cupcake or one of the other 30 novelty, character, and special-sized cake pans available with your library card.

At 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, the library will launch the new special collection of specialty cake pans, preview the pans that will be available for borrowing, and eat cake.

Try your luck at winning a decorated cake with an old-fashioned cakewalk.

Attendees of the launch party will be able to borrow pans at the end of the preview with their library card.

Starting Sunday, Aug. 25, patrons may borrow pans by asking at the reference desk.

This new collection is thanks to a collaboration with Batavia Girl Scouts Addison LaManna and Genevieve Canal.
