MYAC invites west suburban young musicians to Oak Brook Play-In Aug. 24

Midwest Young Artists Conservatory invites young musicians in elementary school and high school to free "Play-Ins" on Saturday, Aug. 24, from 9:30 a.m. to noon (chamber music) and Saturday, Sept. 7, from 9:30 a.m. to noon (jazz) in Oak Brook.

No audition fees will be required, as this is an introductory offering to form new chamber music groups and jazz combos, coached by MYAC's expert faculty.

No preparation is necessary. Students should bring their instruments and be ready to play!

These "Play-In" events and the MYAC Oak Brook program are open to all ages and levels.

After the "Play-In," students will be placed in ensembles that rehearse on Saturdays at Christ Church of Oak Brook for seven weeks, and perform at Ravinia's Bennett Gordon Hall (Oct. 27) and a Highwood jazz venue (Nov. 2).
