Kick-off to Oktoberfest is back at Heritage Farm!

The end of summer is near so let's kick off to Oktoberfest with a traditional German biergarten at Heritage Farm.

Kick-off to Oktoberfest is set for 4:30-7:30 p.m., Sept. 6, at Heritage Farm, 201 S. Plum Grove Road. The event will feature German music, pretzels, refreshments, local craft beer and soda. Participants are welcome to bring a picnic dinner for the family and play backyard games.

Admission includes one pretzel and reusable glass per ticket. Beer and soda will be available for purchase.

"Oktoberfest is a great way to swing into the fall season," said Patricia Kennedy, farm supervisor. "Schaumburg's rich German history makes Heritage Farm a perfect location for this event."

Admission is $5 per person and is offered day of the event.

Last call is at 7:30 p.m. Event may be cancelled due to inclement weather and will not be postponed.
