Advocate Condell Medical Center Recognized as one of the Nation's Best Hospitals

Libertyville, IL - Recognized for delivering exceptional patient care, Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville has been named to the U.S. News & World Report 2019-2020 Best Hospitals list. It was also distinguished as the Best Regional Hospital. Ranked #12 in the Chicago metro area and #14 in the entire State of Illinois, Condell was the top ranked hospital in Lake County. It is the only Level 1 Trauma Center in the County.

"This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our physicians, nurses and team members who put our patients at the center of everything we do. It is an honor to be nationally recognized for delivering the safest care and quality outcomes to the communities we serve," said Mike Ploszek, President of Advocate Condell Medical Center.

Specialties recognized as High-performing included Nephrology; Heart Bypass Surgery and Colon Cancer Surgery; and the treatment of Congestive Heart Failure and COPD. Condell was one of 16 hospitals in the Advocate Aurora Health system to earn a spot on the prestigious list of U.S. News Best Hospitals.

For the 2019-2020 rankings, U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide in various specialties, procedures and conditions. Their methodology is based on quality measures such as risk-adjusted outcome rates, volume, quality of nursing and other care-related indicators.
