Palatine Park District invites the community to attend a free outdoor movie night on Saturday, August 8. Pre-movie activities including a craft and a free raffle will start at 7 p.m. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse, the Academy Award Winner for Best Animated Picture, will be shown at Fred P. Hall Amphitheater, 256 E. Palatine Road, beginning at dusk (approximately 8:25 p.m.). Coolers, blankets, and chairs are encouraged, and concessions will be available for purchase at Pizza Bella's Poolside Café, including soft drinks and popcorn. According to Palatine Park District's Cultural Arts Coordinator, Ashley Schiavone, "Palatine Park District's Outdoor Family Movie Night has become a community favorite, and this is a critically acclaimed movie that the entire family can enjoy with beautiful animation, a great soundtrack, and a storyline that all combine to make this movie shine."

In the film, teen Miles Morales becomes Spider-Man of his reality, crossing his path with five counterparts from other dimensions to stop a threat for all realities.
