Batavia Public Library hosts Stock Your Classroom Book Sale Aug. 3

With school starting in only a couple of weeks, now is a good time for teachers to restock their bookshelves.

To celebrate local educators, the Friends of the Batavia Public Library will be hosting their annual Stock Your Classroom Sale open to all school teachers, preschool teachers, daycare workers, home educators, and all those who teach and mentor kids.

The sale will be held from 9:15 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 3, in the FriendSpace located on the lower level of the Batavia Public Library, 10 S. Batavia Ave.

The sale will feature plenty of children's books, puzzles, and games as well as books on subjects such as history, math, and science.

Most of the books will be priced at half the normal book sale prices - prices start at 25 cents for paperbacks and 50 cents for hardcover.

Special items will be priced as marked.

The Friends of the Batavia Public Library is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that supports the Batavia Public Library. The grants fund the summer and winter reading programs for all age levels, the Art and Science Fair, the One Book, One Batavia programming, the Alphabet Garden, the Margaret Cooper Scholarship for Library pages and other projects to support reading and the library.
