Palatine Chamber hosts villagewide 'Explore Palatine' event

The Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the second annual Explore Palatine event Saturday, Sept. 14. This villagewide event encourages area residents to think local as they shop, explore, and dine in Palatine on this one-day event, and whenever possible.

Any business in Palatine can register at no cost at ExplorePalatine.org, and should include if they will be providing special offers in addition to more information about their business. Explore Palatine participants are encouraged to register by Aug. 16 to be included on the early participation event website.

Explore Palatine is an outgrowth of the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce's Think Local campaign. Open to all Palatine businesses (chamber of commerce members or not), the campaign was created to generate awareness about the importance of patronizing local businesses and educating residents and business owners about the importance of keeping sales tax dollars in the community.

"The Palatine Chamber is proud to spearhead an event that markets Palatine's hidden gems and businesses to the community at no cost to participants," said Steven Gaus, Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce director.

"Participating in Explore Palatine and sponsoring the event are examples of how we continually strive to connect Palatine businesses to each other and to residents."

Sponsorship opportunities for Explore Palatine are available now through Wednesday, Aug. 7. Sponsorship levels vary and include a range of marketing and public relations benefits.
