Summer Concert Series to feature popular American dance music July 23 at Mayslake

On Tuesday, July 23, the ZAZZ jazz combo and singers from Sinfonietta Bel Canto will team up for a concert of jazz standards from the Great American Songbook at 7:30 p.m. at the Mayslake Peabody Estate, 1717 W. 31st St. in Oak Brook.

The concert steps back in time in the historic Mayslake Library.

The library's recent restoration allows you to step back in time and enjoy a piece of nostalgia.

If your toes are tapping and you want to get up and dance, there is an adjacent dance floor in the grand foyer.

The concert features ballroom favorites by Richard Rogers and Oscar Hammerstein II, Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe, Stephen Sondheim, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, George Gershwin and many other jazz standards.

Featured singers include Deb Zelman, Celeste Martino and Christopher Jackson, and the members of ZAZZ (Gail Sonkin, Ken O'Neil, Julian Webb, and Greg Zaborniak).

Tickets are $20 for adults or $10 for students with ID.

Tickets are available at sinfoniettabelcanto.org or at the door.
