Home of the Sparrow provides a transitional shelter, affordable housing, case management, counseling, educational programs and supportive services to hundreds of homeless women and children in McHenry County and Northern Illinois each year.

Check-in starts at 9 a.m., with a shotgun start (scramble format) at 10:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome including singles ($175) or foursomes ($660).

The day includes golf with cart, lunch, dinner, raffle, silent auction and awards. Enjoy beer tastings from Crystal Lake Brewing Co., Scorched Earth Brewing Co. in Algonquin, and ShadowView Brewing in Woodstock. There will be fun contests, including straightest drive, longest putt, closest to pin, and hole in one.

The winning foursome takes home the traveling trophy for the entire year!

In February 1987, Home of the Sparrow Inc. became a nonprofit organization which, over the last 30 years, has remained dynamic in assessing and responding to the needs of homeless women and children in McHenry County and northern Illinois.

The number of individuals served at Home of the Sparrow grows each year in keeping with increased needs. In the 2018 fiscal year, Home of the Sparrow served 451 women and children.
